EpicDraft for producers

Breakdown, stripboard, schedule.Straight from the script.

Tag what every scene needs, lay the scenes on a stripboard and fit a shooting schedule around who and what is available. Send the script out for coverage from the same project.

Import and breakdown sheets are Free. The Production view is Pro, in Labs.

02 — From script to schedule

Five steps from a draft to shoot days

Each step shows what it costs. The Production view is Pro and in Labs.

  1. 01Free

    Bring the script in

Open Fountain, FDX or PDF. Scanned pages are read on your device.

  2. 02Free

    Break it down

Tag props, wardrobe, vehicles and the rest in each scene. Print or export breakdown sheets as PDF or CSV.

  3. 03Pro · Labs

    Lay out the stripboard

Scenes become strips. Move them between shoot days and lock a scene to a date. Cast and crew sit beside them.

  4. 04Pro · Labs

    Fit the schedule

Press Solve. It fits scenes around cast and location availability and lists the scenes it could not place.

  5. 05Pro

    Send it for coverage

Make a reader link in Sharing. Readers get read-only access and can give coverage. They do not need Pro.

03 — On the schedule

Honest about what is left

The scheduler fits what it can. You see the rest and decide.

  1. 01Pro · Labs

    Scenes it could not place

Each run says how many scenes were left out. They wait in an Unscheduled list, and you place them by hand.

  2. 02Pro

    Ask for dates by link

Send a link. People tap the days they can work, with no account, and you import the answer. Needs Cloud Service, which comes with Pro.

  3. 03Pro · Labs

    Auditions at your desk

Read one part and the other parts are read to you. Each take is saved in the project.

04 — Yours

The project stays on your machine

  1. 01

    Your files, your device

Projects live on your device. Cloud backup and sync between devices are Pro and optional.

  2. 02Free

    Formats you can hand on

Export Fountain, FDX or PDF with no watermark. Breakdown sheets leave as PDF or CSV.

  3. 03Free

    Table reads

Hear the script with a voice for each character. Hosting a live table read with actors on other devices is Pro, in Labs.

  4. 04Pro
