Notifications & Mentions
EpicDraft keeps an inbox of things that need your attention across your shared scripts. Notifications need a signed-in account.
The inbox
Open the inbox from the bell icon in the sidebar on desktop, or the Notifications screen on mobile. A badge shows how many are unread. Clicking a notification takes you straight to the relevant place — the file's chat, the script itself, or the read view for an approved request. You can mark all read or delete items you're done with.
You'll be notified when:
- Someone @mentions you, or sends an @all message, in a script's chat.
- A reader submits coverage on one of your scripts.
- Someone starts or finishes reading one of your scripts.
- Someone requests read access to your script — or your own request is approved.
- You have a pending collaboration invite.
- Support replies to a message you sent.
Read-access requests
When someone opens a read link they don't have access to, they can tap Request read access and add a short note. As the owner, the request lands in your inbox with Approve and Deny buttons:
- Approve grants them the Reader role and notifies them; the read view then loads for them automatically.
- Deny dismisses the request.
The requester sees the status of their request as Pending, Approved, or Denied.
Choosing what you're notified about
Open Settings → User → Notifications for your preferences, synced across your devices — every event above has its own toggle, so you can keep mentions and drop the rest, or vice versa.
Email notifications
The same page can mirror notifications to email:
- Add a notification email address.
- Verify it with the link EpicDraft sends.
- Turn on Email me too — email follows the same per-event choices as your in-app toggles.
Device settings
Settings → Application → Notifications covers this device only: system notifications (show operating-system notifications even when the app is in the background) and a notification sound.
The "Changes aren't saving to the cloud" warning is separate from this inbox — it's a persistent in-app notice about syncing. See Using File Sync.
